Kediri (beritajatim.com) – Polres Kediri Kota’s Criminal Investigation Unit is currently hunting for the heartless mother who abandoned her newborn baby. The baby was found near the ruins of a house being renovated in Perum Mojoroto Indah Blok F-37.
“For the time being, as we continue our investigation to find the biological mother of the baby, according to the doctor who examined the baby, the baby is estimated to be around 3 days old,” said the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Kediri Kota Police, Inspector M Fathur Rozikin, on Monday (16/9/2024).
The baby, a boy, was found on Sunday evening (15/9/2024). Currently, Fathur added, the condition of the unfortunate baby is gradually improving.
The baby was first discovered by Imam Puji Santoso, the local RT chairman. The location where the baby was found is a residential house owned by a resident named Tri Pitoyo, which happened to be undergoing renovations.
He did not have detailed information about the initial discovery of the sensational baby. Furthermore, according to him, the CCTV cameras around the incident location were damaged.
Imam also mentioned that accessing the location where the baby was found was difficult through the back route because there is a metal fence at the back of the building, and only the front door could be reached. [nm/beq]
