Trenggalek (deliknews.com) – Pasangan calon 03 Ganjar-Mahfud Md suffered a crushing defeat compared to Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Trenggalek. Witnesses from candidate pair 03 refused to sign the results of the district-level recapitulation.
The results of the district-level recapitulation held by the Trenggalek KPU at the Jaas Permai Trenggalek Hotel showed that Prabowo-Gibran won overwhelmingly in 14 districts with a total of 308,016 votes or 66.2%.
Meanwhile, the pair of Ganjar-Mahfud Md was in second place with 112,883 votes (24.3%) and Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar in the lowest position with 44,260 votes (9.51%).
One of the witnesses from the Ganjar-Mahfud pair, Febri Waluyo, said that they refused to sign the minutes of the recapitulation results.
The rejection was intentional because they believed that this year’s presidential and vice-presidential election was filled with structured and massive fraud.
“In the process of electing the president and vice president, we know for ourselves, starting from the Constitutional Court’s decision favoring one of the pairs, age issues, and then the distribution of social assistance, government intervention to ensure the victory of one pair, we regret this and we agree not to sign because this is clearly structured and massive fraud,” he said on Friday (1/2/2024).
Chairman of the Trenggalek KPU, Gembong Derita Hadi, confirmed that one of the witnesses from the pair did not want to sign the recapitulation results. He considered this a normal occurrence and the right of each pair’s witness.
“So there is indeed objection from one of the pair’s witnesses, these objections are normal and are written in the witness objection form,” said Gembong.
He emphasized that the refusal of witnesses to sign the recapitulation results does not invalidate the vote count. After the district-level recapitulation, they plan to bring the results to the provincial level recapitulation.
“Thank God, everything in Trenggalek is finished today, it will continue at the provincial level,” he explained.
