Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have expressed their deep concern regarding the humanitarian crisis in Gaza resulting from the Israeli military offensive. This concern was addressed during the official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) as part of Prabowo’s state visit to the Kingdom. Both nations have agreed to enhance coordination in delivering emergency aid and broader humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.

The official joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) underscored the commitment of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia to continue providing humanitarian aid and backing recovery efforts in response to Israeli aggression. In addition to discussing the Gaza situation, both countries stressed their shared commitment to deepen cooperation in ensuring international stability and security. They pledged to collaborate in promoting regional peace and strengthening global resilience.

The meeting took place at Al-Salam Palace in a cordial atmosphere, underscoring the robust strategic ties between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. Images published by SPA depicted President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS involved in discussions, with the flags of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia visible in the background. This dedication mirrors Indonesia’s enduring foreign policy of advocating for the Palestinian cause and engaging in humanitarian diplomacy on the global platform.
