Carabao Pool District (CPD) Billiards House at Thamrin City Mall in Jakarta has officially opened its doors on Sunday, January 12, 2025. This billiards playing arena adopts a ‘family-friendly’ concept aimed at facilitating junior billiards players. The opening event began with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a ceremonial rice cone cutting at CPD Thamrin City Mall, followed by a collective prayer led by the invited guests. The event was hosted by the Secretary of the Indonesian Billiards Sports Association (POBSI), Syafril Nasution, and Carabao owner, Hendra Kurniawan.
Celebrities such as Ady Sky and Delon were also in attendance at the opening event. Following the conclusion of the opening ceremony, guests had the opportunity to experience playing billiards at CPD Thamrin City Mall. Hendra Kurniawan mentioned that there are 33 billiards tables available at CPD Thamrin City Mall. By embracing the family-friendly concept, Hendra hopes that this billiards house will serve as a platform for young billiards players to develop their skills.
According to Hendra, the main focus and concept of CPD Thamrin City Mall is to nurture the talents of young billiards players. He expressed his wish for more billiards houses to adopt this concept in order to foster the growth of billiards sports in Indonesia. By emphasizing on the importance of regeneration, Hendra believes that the billiards industry will flourish in the long term with a continuous cycle of talent development.
